A Message to our Partners, from the MDS President

October 2021

Dear MDS Partners,

Thank you for your support of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) as an Industry Partner. While the last 20 months have presented unprecedented challenges to the ways we live, work and spend our free time, we have learned a great deal about how to meet those challenges. Since early 2020, the Society has found new ways to enhance and deepen virtual education, connect with and grow its membership, and deliver on its purpose to advance the neurological sciences.

These achievements include launching the new MDS Education Roadmap, serving 13,000 registrants during a successful Virtual Congress, providing education to more than 10,000 people through Regional online education programs, expanding interest in MDS Rating Scales, greater reach and influence of the MDS Journals, and so much more.

Partnership with industry is critically important to MDS, and your support enables the Society to continue to meet its goals of disseminating scientific knowledge, as well as promoting research into causes, preventions and treatments to favorably affect the care of patients with Movement Disorders.

This document is designed to share useful information regarding MDS and its activities, and to provide an overview of opportunities to partner and support the Society’s efforts. Please also visit the MDS website for updates on specific Course and Congress information.

We deeply appreciate your support and contributions to advance the field of Movement Disorders.

Francisco Cardoso, MD, PhD
MDS President, 2021-2023
